Do you have a lot of projects that need to be done around your house?
Well I just purchased a new tool that you should know about and whether
you’re a weekend warrior or a professional, this tool from Rockwell
called the Sonicrafter is the tool that should be in everyone’s tool
box. This tool can plug cut into wood up to 1 5/8″ thick. It can cut
nails and even remove grout from between tiles. The Sonicrafter differs
from a hand grinder or a reciprocating saw. Because there is no
rotating or orbital motion, it uses oscillating action, which doesn’t
shoot the dust and debris flying everywhere like a hand grinder or a
reciprocating saw does. With the Sonicrafter almost all of the waste
falls right beneath where your working. The oscillating angle is 3.2
and oscillates at 11,000 to 20,000 per minute. The other thing that is
so great is you have so much more control. There is no heavy vibration.
When you are removing grout from between tiles you don’t have to worry
about the tool jumping all over which could cause you to chip your
tile. Another fantastic aspect of the Sonicrafter with its oscillating
action is that it gives you the ability to freehandedly cut along a
straight line without the need for a straight edge to guide you.
I have had this Sonicrafter for a short time now and I don’t know how I’ve gotten along without it up to this time, it’s simply amazing.
